Coach Trexler has been involved with football as a Kicker for 12+ years. Hometown native of Wilmington, NC, Trexler led the New Hanover Wildcats his senior year making 8 of 10 field goals and converted 25 of 29 PAT’s.
At Catawba 2010: Saw action as place kicker and punter ... made a dozen field goals with a long of 46...ranked 14th in NCAA II in field goals made ...hit on three field goals in wins over Shaw and Brevard ... named SAC Player of the Week after the Shaw game ... led team with 73 total points, connecting on 37-of-39 PAT’s ... finished sixth in the SAC in total scoring ... averaged 35.4 yards over 14 punts with a long of 49 ...2009: Connected on six field goals, including a long of 46 which came against Livingstone ... made 26 of 29 point-after tries ... 2008: Won the job as kicker and punter as a freshman ...went 4-of-7 on field goals with a long of 42 at Mars Hill ... averaged 40.6 yards on seven punts with a long of 54 against Livingstone ... also produced 50-yard punt at Mars Hill, averaging 37.7 yards on six attempts ...
After his 2011 senior year being the starting kicker at Catawba, Coach Trexler had multiple professional team tryouts and multiple arena football contract offers.
